How does the role of an ever changing field fit into a constantly evolving society?

We all know that current state of our public sphere is never static. We have transitioned from the previously known trade based economy into one that functions in all aspects digitally but the emergence of a digital economy within the 20th century brings with it multiple dimensions that were never present before. This digital economy of today invites and evokes all into participation, trade, skill, education, production, and increasingly high competition and all in a seemingly free for all system of governance. The artisans of today are those that are constantly pushing and evolving boundaries among the social sphere of communication. Instead of the trickle down methodology of the past, everyone and anyone is influential. It is the role of the today’s design management industry to evolve the playing field contextually for its audience. The promise and success of this digital economy lies within the evolution of a different type of audience and worker, and its responsibility lies within its curation.
